Christmas is a season marked with giving and sharing.  There really isn’t any reason to forget this theme this season.  We have listed 10 (ten)  ways to give back this season.  Merry Christmas!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1) Books forAfrica.org -  50 cents will send a book to a child in Africa.  Books For Africa. A simple name for an organization with a simple mission. We collect, sort, ship, and distribute books to children in Africa. Our goal: to end the book famine in Africa. Books For Africa is the world’s largest shipper of donated books to the African continent. Since 1988, Books For Africa has shipped over 24 million high-quality text and library books to children and adults in 46 African countries. Millions more are needed. It costs $9,800 to send a sea container to most major sea ports of books and computers to Africa. 2)  Foodforthepoor.org  -   This organization aims to save lives, transform communities and renew hope.  It is is the largest international relief and development charity in the United States, feeding 2 million poor every day. 3) doctorswithoutborders.org –  With 5 dollars you can be part of doctorswithoutborders.  This is an organization that  is an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971.
Today, MSF provides independent, impartial assistance in more than 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters. MSF provides independent, impartial assistance to those most in need. MSF also reserves the right to speak out to bring attention to neglected crises, challenge inadequacies or abuse of the aid system, and to advocate for improved medical treatments and protocols.

4) cradlestocrayon.org –  Cradles to Crayons endeavors to provide homeless and low-income children with the essentials they require to thrive - to feel safe, warm, ready to learn, and valued. 5) operationsmile.org -  Operation Smile’s international missions are conducted throughout the year in hard-to-reach places throughout the world. International missions involve up to 60 medical volunteers who travel to partner countries to provide surgeries for children over a two-week period.
